It was a moment of joy and reflection in Ogoja Local Government Area as Hon. Lawrence Mobu, former Leader of the Ogoja Legislative Council, marked his 60th birthday, drawing heartfelt tributes from across political and social circles.

The celebration, which attracted friends, family members, political associates, and admirers, highlighted the life and contributions of a man widely regarded as a quintessential grassroots mobilizer, consensus builder, and seasoned legislative leader.

A Legacy of Service and Leadership

During his tenure as Leader of the Ogoja Legislative Council, Hon. Mobu distinguished himself through calm, mature leadership and an unwavering commitment to the people. He was known for fostering unity within the House and championing motions that positively impacted communities across various wards in Ogoja.

A committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mobu has remained a strong political figure in Cross River North, earning respect as a bridge between older and emerging generations of leaders within the party.
