Hon. Sunny Achang Emerges as Secretary General of Cross River State Councilors Forum.

In a development that has further strengthened Ogoja’s voice in grassroots governance, the Deputy Leader of the Ogoja Legislative Council, Hon. Sunny A. Achang, has been inaugurated as the Secretary General of the Cross River State Councilors Forum.

Hon. Achang, who represents Mbube East Ward 1, was inaugurated at the Ministry of Local Government Affairs in Calabar, marking a new chapter in his political journey and in the collective representation of councilors across the state.
Speaking after his inauguration, Hon. Achang expressed deep gratitude for the trust and confidence reposed in him. He pledged to prioritize unity, accountability, and innovation in his new role.

“This is not just a mandate for me, but for Ogoja and every councilor across Cross River State who believes in service and progress,” he said.
The Ogoja Legislative Council has described his emergence as a major plus, not only to the Council but also to the entire Ogoja nation, noting that the position places Ogoja in a stronger position within statewide legislative affairs.
