.. DECLARES SUPPORT FOR THE AGITATION FOR THE CREATION OF OGOJA STATE

The Northern Cross River Coalition NORTHCCO on Sunday 2nd March, 2025 held an interactive meeting of it's Central Working Committee at Landmark Hotel, Ogoja. 

The Coalition as part of its communique passed a vote of confidence on Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu and Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odinga. 

It also expressed its support for the agitation by the people of the region for the creation of Ogoja State, saying it will bring development to the region.

Speaking, the Chairman of the Central Working Committee, Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo clarified that the Northern Cross River Coalition (NORTHCCO) is not a platform for anybody's personal political aspirations. 

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo while speaking said NORTHCCO was conceived to promote love among stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Northern Cross River.

Hon Martin Orim, the Director General, elaborated on the structure of the coalition while Chief Peter Ojie, Deputy Chair of the board of Trustee, (B. O. T) laid out the background for the formation of the coalition. 

Several other members of the Central Working Committee made contributions to the interactive meeting including Chief Tony Undiandeye, Hon. Signor Omang Idiege, Sen. Stephen Odey PhD and others.
