Cross River State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Patrick Egbede, Attends the Funeral of Late Mrs. Brigid Egede

The Honourable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Cross River State, Hon. Paddy Egbede, on Saturday, attended the funeral of Late Mrs. Brigid Egede, who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 82. The solemn event took place in Nwang Ogoja, where family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects.

Late Mrs. Brigid Egede was the beloved mother of Barr. Leonard Egede, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Affairs and currently the Legal Adviser of Ogoja Local Government Area. Hon. Egbede, a close associate and bosom friend of Barr. Egede, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, describing the late matriarch as a woman of virtue who raised a distinguished son dedicated to public service.
The funeral was graced by top government functionaries, including the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Peter Odey; the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs; and the Member representing Bekwarra Constituency, Hon. Omang Charles Omang, among other dignitaries.

Hon. Patrick Egbede reaffirmed his support for the Egede family during this difficult time and prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed soul.
