OGOJA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN LEADS OGOJA CONTINGENT AT CULTURAL CARNIVAL, CALABAR.

The Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Agbeh, led a vibrant contingent of participants at the cultural carnival event held in Calabar. He described the showcase of Ogoja culture as a unique and admirable tradition. Hon. Agbeh emphasized that the large turnout symbolized unity, aiming not only to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Ogoja but also to foster love and understanding, despite differences in language and background. He explained that the event reflected Ogoja's diverse culture, including its costumes, farm produce, and traditional dances.

The event, which was filled with fun and excitement, drew admiration from spectators at various points of adjudication.

Among the notable members of the Ogoja contingent were the First Lady of Ogoja, Mrs. Christy Agbeh; the Ogoja State House of Assembly Representative, Hon. Thomas Aruku; the Commissioner for Wealth Creation, Hon. Patrick Egbede; the Chairman of the College of Nursing Sciences Itigidi, Prof. Maggie Opiah; the Head of Personal Staff to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Chris Ojikpong; and the Civil Service Commission member, Mr. Friday Ntaji.
