Breaking News: Hon. Sunny Achang Opens Ward Constituency Office, Empowers Students with Scholarships

In a heartwarming display of community service and grassroots empowerment, Hon. Sunny Achang, the honorable councilor representing Mbube East Ward 1 and Deputy Leader of Ogoja Legislative Council, officially opened his ward constituency office yesterday, Tuesday, April 22, with a spirit-filled Thanksgiving Mass and a bold scholarship empowerment initiative.

The grand event drew in dignitaries, stakeholders, clergy, and constituents in large numbers. Present at the ceremony were: CP Gabriel Omara Achong (Gomara) Rtd, Chief Hon. Chris Agbeh, Chairman of Ogoja LGA, Mrs. Christy Agbeh, Hon. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu, Vice Chairman, Ogoja LGA, Members of the Ogoja Legislative Council, including Hon. Emmanuel Elom, Hon. Sarah Amu, Mr. Jacob Odey, SP Jacob Ishuru (Rtd), and many more.

The event began with a Thanksgiving Mass led by Rev. Fr. Jobert Inob Nkera, Rev. Fr. James Aburu Ushie, and Very Rev. Fr. Vincent Undie, thanking God for leadership, progress, and unity in Mbube East.
The highlight of the day was the commissioning of the constituency office, located strategically to facilitate needs assessment, grassroots participation in governance, and effective communication between constituents and their representative. The office was commissioned by Hon. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu and Rev. Fr. Jobert Inob Nkera.

In his commitment to returning value to his people, Hon. Sunny Achang rolled out scholarships for brilliant and deserving students across the 13 polling units in his ward. His gesture set off a chain of support from other dignitaries who joined hands to lift the future of young Ogojans:

CP Gabriel Omara Achong (Gomara) awarded 2 full scholarships from his foundation.

Hon. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu, Vice Chairman of Ogoja, sponsored Master Michael Patrick through a full scholarship.

Hon. Chief Chris Agbeh, Ogoja LGA Chairman, supported the movement with 4 additional scholarships.

This remarkable day marks a new chapter of hope, representation, and empowerment in Mbube East Ward 1. The people are now more connected, more heard, and more hopeful for a better tomorrow.
