Deputy Governor Odey Commends APC Stakeholders for Supporting Governor Otu's Administration.

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has expressed appreciation to the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Ogoja Local Government Area for their steadfast support of the Senator (Prince) Bassey Otu led-administration. 

Deputy Governor Odey made these remarks while hosting the Ogoja Progressive Stakeholders at his temporary office in the Government House, Calabar, on Monday.

During the meeting, Odey praised Governor Bassey Edet Otu's leadership and called on the party stakeholders to maintain peace during the forthcoming local government elections on November 2, 2024, emphasizing the need for peaceful and rancour-free elections to sustain the current tranquility being enjoyed in the state. 

Odey also highlighted Governor Otu’s significant achievements within a short time in office, particularly in infrastructure development, which has led to a significant improvement in the state's socioeconomic status. He called for continued support to enable the administration make more meaningful impacts. 
Several leaders, including the Managing Director, CRS Water Board Ltd, Chief Godwin Nyiam, former SSA on Political Matters, Chief Peter Ojie, and Chief Dr. Thomas Udam, who spoke during the meeting, lauded the governor and his deputy for their impressive performance and achievements, describing the administration as inclusive and people-centric. 

The stakeholders pledged to eschew all forms of division and remain united under the leadership of Governor Otu, with the strong support of their illustrious son and leader, the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.

The meeting was attended by critical APC stakeholders from Ogoja Local Government Area, including former and serving government appointees.
